Flux:: Plug-ins Released for Waves SoundGrid Applications

Flux:: a creator of intuitive audio software tools and Waves Audio, a provider of digital signal processing solutions, are proud to announce full compatibility of Flux:: professional audio software tools with the Waves SoundGrid platform.

Flux:: is the first major developer to finalize their products for integration with the SoundGrid project, which provides an extremely low-latency environment for high-precision audio processing. SoundGrid is ideal for expanding the number of plug-ins available by offloading onto dedicated DSP hardware servers/interfaces, to build powerful systems for studio facilities, live sound, broadcast, post-production and much more.

This project started last year at NAMM when the CEO of Flux:: distributor Plugivery, Eric Nolot, enthusiastically got the Flux:: and Waves guys together around a table to discuss what he says he regards as a very innovative new platform that is potentially the future of audio processing. Flux:: was convinced of the power of this platform as well and took to the challenge.

After six months of intensive coding the company has now produced a solid Waves SoundGrid-compatible release for the following 12 Flux:: plug-ins (Alchemist, Solera, Syrah, Elixir, Epure, Pure Limiter, Pure Compressor, Pure DCompressor, Pure Expander, Pure DExpander, their freeware plugins; BitterSweet and Stereo Tool) and the bundles that are made up with these plug-ins. They will all natively run in Waves applications such as Waves MultiRack SoundGrid and Waves MultiRack Native, the Waves eMotion ST mixer, Waves StudioRack, and the Waves eMotion LV1 mixer.

All Flux:: plug-ins will now be part of a powerful system that fully integrates with the Waves SoundGrid environment, including digital consoles with network infrastructure for sound installations. The SoundGrid infrastructure is a powerful, cost-effective, all-in-one audio networking and processing solution running on standard Intel CPUs and 1 Gbps Ethernet networks.

All current and new licenses, perpetual and subscription, for the mentioned Flux:: products includes the Waves SoundGrid versions at no additional cost.

Mick Olesh, Waves EVP of sales and marketing, comments, "Waves is dedicated to providing our customers the freedom to use their plug-in products anywhere and everywhere, be it in the studio or in live environments. We are excited to join forces with Flux::, allowing users to benefit from Waves SoundGrid technology and use Flux:: plug-ins natively in live settings as well."

Gaƫl Martinet, CEO of Flux::, states, "We are very proud and excited to release our audio plug-in software for the Waves SoundGrid platform. It offers new perspectives for many of our customers that are already using the powerful SoundGrid environment in the studio or within live applications."

Flux:: products are distributed by Plugivery.com.
