X1 Returns to ISE with Rigging and Design Software HOLOPLOT Plan in Tow

HOLOPLOT's X1 Matrix Array

Following a successful first showing of its X1 Matrix Array at last year's ISE -- bagging the Best of Show award in the Installation category -- Berlin-based pro audio company HOLOPLOT, returns to this year's show to reveal the Beta version of its new design and simulation software HOLOPLOT Plan as well as the new X1 rigging system.

HOLOPLOT has consistently pushed the boundaries of what's possible in sound reproduction since its launch in 2011, using 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wavefield Synthesis to steer sound (vertically and horizontally) directly to the listener's precise location. More than just a loudspeaker, its X1 series -- comprising of the X1 Modul 96 full-range speaker and the X1 Modul 80-S loudspeaker with built in sub -- is a fully integrated system which combines sophisticated software and IoT capabilities -- built for high performance applications like concerts, event venues, theme parks, large conferences, immersive installations and, more, the company says.

To make designing, simulating, and setting up a HOLOPLOT sound system simple and intuitive, the company has developed HOLOPLOT Plan.

"Our aim is to make our technology more accessible," says head of product Michael Kastner. "HOLOPLOT Plan allows creatives and designers to see the direct impact our technology can have on their own projects."

Using Plan's 3D graphical interface, Matrix Arrays of different configurations can be designed, and sound fields based on 3D Audio-Beamforming and Wave Field Synthesis technologies can be created.

HOLOPLOT Plan simulates and visualizes direct sound pressure levels, providing a realistic prediction of the audio coverage in the venue. For further analysis and advanced simulations, projects can be exported to EASE.

HOLOPLOT experts will give show visitors the chance to experience Plan firsthand on their stand at ISE. The company is extending an invitation to join their mission by designing sound systems using the Beta version of HOLOPLOT Plan and share their thoughts and feedback with the team by signing up to the Early Access Program.

Another first for ISE is the launch of the company's brand new X1 rigging system, which will be in action in the HOLOPLOT demo room -- along with a deeper dig into HOLOPLOT Plan with a schedule of daily, 30-minute seminars entitled 'Sound system design brought to life with X1 and HOLOPLOT Plan' and "Maneuvering tricky acoustic terrain with X1."

Thanks to the rigging, X1 is now more flexible than ever, the company says. Arrays can be deployed vertically or horizontally and are infinitely scalable -- opening the door for X1 into both the fixed installation and rental market.

From multi-purpose event spaces, large-scale live entertainment venues, auditoriums, concert halls to places of worship or theme parks -- X1 will transform sound experiences inside any given space.

Hear more from HOLOPLOT's head of sales, Ryan Penny, at the Live Events Summit on February 2 in CC5.3 from 16:45 - 17:25, where he'll be taking his place alongside other industry leaders in the "Technical innovation: the latest developments already changing the live touring landscape" session to discuss some of the latest innovations they are bringing to the live touring sphere and discuss what impact they are likely to have on this world.

And don't forget to grab some of HOLOPLOT's famous coffee from the Barcelona-based team at Nomad on stand 7G700 inside the audio hall, and get the full X1 experience inside Audio Demo Room B2.
