ETC Names a New Power Controls Product Manager

Ned Keitt-Pride, ETC

The lighting world is changing quickly, and ETC says the company is leading the charge with the development of power control equipment to prepare clients for the future. To continue in this field, ETC has promoted Ned Keitt-Pride to the role of power controls product manager. In his new role, Keitt-Pride will work with ETC's power controls development team to bring new products to the industry, and he will be responsible for promoting those products and educating end users.

He is stepping into the position that Jake Dunnum held for nine years, following the announcement that Dunnum is ETC's new general manager of automated lighting. "Ned brings a unique skillset and enthusiasm to our department," describes vice president of marketing David Lincecum. "His extensive experience in the industry and his dedicated years of service with ETC will be a big asset to our product strategy. I'm confident that he will continue the progress that Jake and our power controls team have made to transform our product line into an industry leader."

Keitt-Pride got his start in technical theater as a teenager in high school, and in 1996, earned a BA in theater arts from Virginia Tech. Following graduation, he worked as a stagehand and entertainment-lighting and sound-system installer, while also volunteering for a youth leadership-training organization that took him around the globe. He then joined a startup, high-end AV systems-integration company, where he served as a project coordinator and senior install technician. There, he earned an InfoComm CTS certification, as well as Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Tandberg technician and programmer certifications. In 2005, he began working for a rigging-installation company, building counterweight rigging systems and installing Vortek hoists across the US.

Keitt-Pride started at ETC in 2008, working as a lighting systems estimator, and then began serving as the west US regional lead for quotations later that year. In 2010, he moved into quotations and project management for ETC Rigging systems. In 2014, when ETC purchased the Vortek rigging division of Daktronics and began offering rigging solutions internationally, Keitt-Pride led the team responsible for transitioning the product production to ETC's factory in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. And in 2015, he earned his master's degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.

"I am excited to serve ETC in this new capacity," says Keitt-Pride. "Jake and our R&D and marketing teams have done a tremendous job expanding and improving our power control product lines. I can't wait to work with them to influence the future of the industry."
