Cooper Controls at Pro Light + Sound 2011

Cooper Controls has teamed up with its German distribution partners to present the Zero 88 entertainment lighting control range at Pro Light + Sound in Frankfurt.

New to the show this year is the ZerOS Android application -- Zero 88's latest addition to its suite of remote applications. Continuing its commitment to mobile device integration, this new app adds to the existing iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Windows Mobile applications. The ZerOS Remote Android app, the first for the entertainment technology industry, allows remote control of any ZerOS console. The app allows users to control their lighting rigs from their Androids for the first time. From channel levels to playback the ZerOS Remote offers full control of the Leap Frog 48, Leap Frog 96, Frog 2, ORB, and ORB XF consoles.

ZeroWire CRMX, Cooper Controls new DMX/RDM wireless solution, will be previewed at Pro Light & Sound this year. The ZeroWire CRMX is based on the first automated and adaptive wireless technology specifically developed for the lighting industry. CRMX wireless transmissions optimize the use of available frequencies providing the most reliable wireless DMX solution. ZeroWire CRMX technology is housed in rugged enclosures designed to meet the particular requirements of the entertainment and architainment markets.

Taking centre stage at the show is the ORB XF lighting control console. Designed to sit alongside the existing Orb console, the ORB XF has been designed for professional users requiring hands on live control. OrbXF adds fader control for intensity channels and live submaster playback, making it suitable for control of live events. The Orb XF will preview the next release of the ZerOS software suite.

Orb XF features 60 multifunction faders which can be utilized as channel controls, submasters or playbacks. A dual color LED flash button under the fader indicates the current function of each fader. Combining theatrical syntax and an interactive hardware platform, Orb XF provides intuitive control of both generic dimmers and moving lights. Also at the show will be Zero 88's range of lighting control consoles that can control both generic and moving lights including Orb, Leap Frog 48, Jester ML24, and Jester TLXtra as well as the Chilli installation dimming system.

Cooper Controls can be found on the following stands at Pro Light + Sound 2011: Hall 11.0 - D55 - with Ultralite, Hall 9.0 - D51B - with Focon.
