New RCF Amplifiers Now Shipping

RCF is updating its entry-level range of commercial audio amplifiers by introducing two new multipurpose models. AM115 (p/n 12135082) is a mixer-amplifier while UP1121 (p/n 12135083) is a power amplifier.

According to the company, flexibility and reliability are the main features of these devices, together with audio intelligibility and overall construction quality. The solid chassis are standard rack 19" and the two-unit mounting accessories are "in the box."

AM1125 is a 120W RMS mixer-amplifier with five inputs, four of them universal (mic-line sensitivity) and one switchable phantom power required by electret microphones). The fifth input is to be used with line level sources (e.g. CD or MP3 players). Connectors are XLR; an RCA is present for the fourth input when used as line level and the fifth input is for the AUX. An insert point is available on RCA plugs to interconnect external devices (e.g. equalizers and additional power units) to the amplifier sections.

The priority of the input 1 on the other inputs can be activated by voice presence or through a dry closing contact. The other inputs are muted, with the exception of the AUX input, for which it is possible to adjust the level via the ducking control trimmer. Input level controls and master volume plus tone controls are provided. A power-on indicator and an LED level control, useful to check the signal presence and to give an indication of the delivered power, are located on the front panel. Speaker outputs are both constant impedance (4Ohm) and constant voltage (70V and 100V). Power supply can be from the mains (230Vac and 115Vac switchable) or 24V DC.

UP1121 is a 120W RMS power amplifier with a single balanced line level, available on a screw-type connector. Master volume control and tone controls are provided. A power-on indicator and an LED level control, useful to check the signal presence and to give an indication of the delivered power, are on the front panel. Speaker outputs are both constant impedance (4Ohm) and constant voltage (70V and 100V). Power supply can be from the mains (230Vac and 115Vac switchable) or 24V Vdc.
