Harry Potter Sweeps Outer Critics Circle Design Awards

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was the big winner at this year's Outer Critics Circle Awards, which were given out last night. The hit dramatic follow-up to JK Rowling's phenomenally best-selling novels took six awards, including most of the design categories: Christine Jones' scenery, Neil Austin's lighting, Gareth Fry's sound, and the projection design of Finn Ross and Ash Woodward. The one non-Potter design winner was Catherine Zuber, for the costume design of My Fair Lady.

The Lincoln Center Theater revival of My Fair Lady took five awards, followed by the musical SpongeBob SquarePants, with four awards, and the revivals of Angels in America and Carousel, which each took three.
