LD Systems Presents MAUI 44 G3, MAUI 44 G3 MIX and MAUI 66 G3 Column Pas

LD Systems expands the MAUI G3 series with three column PA systems for professional live applications: MAUI 44 G3, MAUI 44 G3 MIX, and MAUI 66 G3. The new models combine the quick, convenient handling of the MAUI series with a fully active four-way architecture featuring dedicated driver groups, high headroom, and controlled cardioid dispersion. They are aimed at DJs, bands, and event technology service providers.

The MAUI 44 G3 and MAUI 44 G3 MIX feature a newly developed 15" neodymium woofer delivering bass down to 3Hz. Both systems provide 1,800W RMS (3,600W peak) and reach a maximum SPL of 133dB. The MAUI 66 G3, the most powerful system in the MAUI series, features an 18" neodymium woofer with bass response down to 28Hz. The system delivers 1,900W RMS (3,800W peak) and reaches up to 13dB SPL. Flow-optimized bass-reflex ports reduce air turbulence and port noise in all three models, so bass remains punchy, precise, and well-defined even at high volumes, the company says. The DynX DSP (Gen. 2) with advanced peak, RMS and thermal limiters ensures distortion-free playback even at maximum volume.

The two-piece aluminum columns of the MAUI 44 G3 models house fourteen 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and four 1" compression drivers. The MAUI 66 G3 expands this configuration to 16 midrange drivers, two positioned above the tweeters to ensure that midrange frequencies are reproduced clearly and with impact even over longer distances. In addition, newly developed phase plugs and a BEM-optimized waveguide in the upper column element ensure uniform sound dispersion over a 120-by-25-degree pattern. Horn-loaded midrange drivers in the lower element increase efficiency and headroom.

The column's passive cardioid design focuses sound energy toward the audience and attenuates rear dispersion in the 100Hz to 1kHz range by up to 18dB, ensuring less unwanted sound reaches the stage. With an additional rear-facing MAUI 44 G3 SUB or MAUI 66 G3 SUB and the cardioid preset activated, the directionality can also be applied to the bass range. Alternatively, when facing forward, the second subwoofer provides a bass boost of +6dB.

The MAUI 44 G3 MIX adds an integrated eight-channel digital mixer to the MAUI 44 G3's feature set. Eight XLR/jack combo inputs -- six with integrated microphone preamplifiers -- allow direct connection of microphones, instruments, and other line-level sources. Bluetooth audio streaming, internal effects and footswitch input expand possibilities for live performances with multiple sources. Four monitor outputs are available for independent monitor mixes. An additional system output facilitates integration of additional components. All mixer and system settings can be controlled either via the integrated colour display or wirelessly using the free MAUI MIX app (iOS and Android). Using SysLink, users can connect two MAUI 44 G3 MIX units to form a stereo setup with a total of 16 input channels and operate both systems centrally.

The MAUI 44 G3 and MAUI 66 G3 each feature two XLR/jack combo inputs, two through outputs, and a dedicated subwoofer output. Wireless audio is conveniently handled via Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC codecs. All models are quick and easy to set up thanks to cable-free plug-in connections between the subwoofer and column elements as well as the automatic column detection. With their polyurea-coated subwoofer enclosure, powder-coated aluminum columns, four ergonomic carrying handles on the subwoofer and recessed handles in the column elements, the new MAUI G3 models are designed for regular mobile use. Optional accessories include rolling boards, protective covers for the subwoofers, and padded carrying cases for the columns.

The LD Systems MAUI 44 G3 and MAUI 66 G3 are expected to be available in late October/early November. The MAUI 44 G3 MIX is expected to follow from mid/end of December 2026. The recommended retail prices are 2,499 euros for the MAUI 44 G3 and 2,999 euros each for the MAUI 44 G3 MIX and MAUI 66 G3.
