Chauvet Europe to Show New Fixtures at Prolight + Sound

Chauvet announces new luminaires to the European market for Prolight + Sound: WELL, COLORado Range IP, and COLORado Ridge IP. Additionally, Chauvet announces the expansion of its year-old branch in the U.K. The company says the move will serve to reinforce its commitment to the European market by being able to ship products across the continent.

"This will allow for a quicker turnaround and access to more products with increased inventory," said Stéphane Gressier, international sales manager for Chauvet.

New products will be on exhibit in Hall 11.0, Booth B45, in the Messe Frankfurt complex. All are LED-fitted wash lights with multiple applications for multiple settings.

WELL, or Wireless Event LED Luminaire, is designed specifically to be a self-contained uplight for any event. Inside each WELL wash light are 12 3W tri-color LEDS, similar to the 14 found in our COLORado 1-TRI Tour, giving it great color mixing without any multi-colored shadows, the company says. It's powered by a 12V battery offering up to 12 hours of life to the fixture. For control, standard DMX ports are available, as well as a pre-installed Wireless Solution WDMX receiver. Focusing is accomplished two different ways; the split LED plane can be precisely angled using the adjustment screws on the outside of the fixture, or for more dramatic adjustments, a ratcheting foot can be extended to tip the fixture several degrees without compromising stability. Also available is a six-slot road case which doubles as a gang charger for all the units.

COLORado Range IP and COLORado Ridge IP are indoor/outdoor wash lights and feature RGBWA color mixing. The use of red, green, blue, white, and amber LEDs offer more color mixing and full spectrum color rendering. Both feature five distinct dimming curves; an ingress protection rating of IP66; a pressure-equalizing Gore valve; color temperature presets from 3,200-10,000 K; built-in automated programs; and a durable, heat-dissipating housing. The units are designed for theatres, outdoor productions, and festivals and cover anything from a cyc to an entire stage with just one fixture. The products differ in the number of LEDs and installed lenses. COLORado Range IP has a total of one hundred eighty 5W RGBWA LEDs, two independently adjustable panels, and 15- and 30-degree lenses installed. COLORado Ridge IP consists of a single panel with ninety 5W RGBWA LEDs with 30-degree lenses (15-degree lenses are optional).
