Bandit Lites Named Concert Visuals Company of the Year at Pollstar Live!Bandit Lites is thrilled to share Bandit was named Concert Visuals Company of the Year at the 35th annual Pollstar Awards. This was Bandit's 30th career win in 30 years as a lighting company across multiple honors. Hosted by comedian, actor, and author Tom Papa, the Pollstar Awards took place at the historic Wiltern in Los Angeles on February 8 and honored the most successful artists, executives, tours, venues, companies, and more from the live industry in more than 40 categories. The event was produced by Ray Waddell and OVG. Bandit Lites chair and founder Michael T. Strickland accepted the award in honor of his recently departed friend and client, Toby Keith. "Toby was a great friend, a true American and one hell of a guy," Strickland says. "We always talked football, he Oklahoma and I Tennessee. We are playing this fall, and I will miss him at the game. Toby was the strongest man I ever knew. He never wavered in his beliefs and principles. He told you how he felt and backed it up with his actions. The world needs more people like Toby!" In addition to Bandit sponsoring Pollstar Live!, Strickland moderated a panel on Transportation, Labor, And Gear where he emphasized the roll of selecting the right team of individuals, "People make a business and if you don't choose the right people, you are doomed to fail."
