Highway Marketing Receives Community's Rep of the Year Award

At this year's InfoComm show in Las Vegas held earlier this month, Community Professional Loudspeakers was pleased to present its Rep of the Year Award for 2017 to Highway Marketing. Highway Marketing is an independent professional audio and video manufacturers' representative firm covering Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

"Highway Marketing operates an excellent balance of sales and technical skills to service the needs of the manufacturer, the dealer, and their clients," commented Steve Young, Community's North America sales director. "In 2017 they were exceptionally consistent in achieving or exceeding goals and their proactive inside sales team, led by Sheila Rose, set a high bar for customer follow-up. Highway is also continually directing investment in staffing resources, like the hiring of Josh Evans to provide additional EASE support on big projects, to ensure the best possible customer experience."

"We have substantial house of worship and high school stadium markets in Texas, and Community is a leading brand in these sectors," said Scott Baker, Highway Marketing's president. "For us Community combines the dependability of its 50-year heritage with continually innovative products. Their technical support is the best in the industry and they're a really nice, easy team of people to work with. It's simply a great brand to represent and we're very proud to receive this award."

Highway Marketing has just completed a House of Worship Roadshow with Community's new IV6 modular vertical array system. "IV6 is a great example of the company's innovation," observes Baker. "The Passive Acoustic Optimization feature calculates the parameters for each loudspeaker very quickly, helping designers achieve very even coverage in a venue from the first listener to the last. In many cases, a single amplifier and DSP channel can run five to six IV6 full-range cabinets in parallel. It's a great product for our sector and we've already taken orders for multiple systems."
