Behringer X32 Compact Digital Live/Recording Mixer Now Available

Behringer introduces the X32 Compact 40-input digital mixer with a feature set and host of connectivity options that the company says are sure to appeal to audio professionals in need of advanced live sound and recording solutions.

Because of its footprint, the X32 Compact fits in spaces that larger consoles can't, making it ideally suited for small to mid-size venues or for any larger venue wishing to add a side-stage monitor console. The company notes this mixer excels in applications where space and agility count, such as mobile recording and broadcast trucks.

The X32 Compact's local connectivity includes 16 XLR inputs, eight XLR outs, six aux I/O, and expands to its full 40-input, 25-bus capacity when used with Behringer's optional S16 digital stage box. The mixer also features an ULTRANET port for sending 16 channels of audio via Cat 5e cable to Behringer's optional P16 personal monitoring system.

Packed with processing power, the X32 Compact removes the need for outboard gear with its eight-slot, stereo FX engine. It also entitles the registered owner to a free copy of Tracktion 4 audio production software to take advantage of the included 32 x 32 channel USB 2.0 recording interface. Additionally, the onboard two-track USB recorder can record any two channels of audio assigned to it in the routing menu.

The end-result of true collaboration, X32 Compact's Midas-designed, programmable mic preamps and Klark Teknik's AES50 networking technology all combine at a price point the company says that only Behringer could offer.

The Behringer X32 Compact is available through authorized dealers and online retailers and is covered by Music Group's three-year limited warranty program.
