W-DMX Has New Products, Swedish Meatballs, and Vodka and Prolight + Sound

Wireless Solution Sweden's BlueBox MK2 screenshot

Wireless Solution Sweden AB will be showing its growing line of G4S products during Prolight + Sound, April 15 - 18, 2015 at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, in hall 11, stand D80.

On display will be the W-DMX UglyBox MK2. This is a compact new wireless signal tester, which is a valuable tool for users of wireless products, providing proof of a solid signal and piece of mind in the absence of visible cable.

The UglyBox MK2 is housed in an attractive compact body, resembling a gaming control with a 4.3" touch LCD screen, about the size of an iPhone. It supports 2.4GHz, 5.2GHz, and 5.8GHz and is a transceiver solution, which means that it can be used as both transmitter and receiver. It has a complete DMX tester that provides all data in live format directly on the screen. It also has a built in DMX controller as well as an RGB fixture to simulate LED fixtures on the LCD screen for quick testing. In history mode, the user can also see over time that the user has a stable signal over a certain period.

The unit runs on a rechargeable Lithium battery for up to 12 hours and has a built-in SD card reader to save all data for later export to Microsoft Excel. The UglyBox MK2 is geared towards rental and installation companies but useful for anyone. The unit is also designed to update with additional features as they become available.

Also on display is the new W-DMX COB (chip on board), a transceiver solution in an ultra compact 6x6mm size. Wireless Solution is among the first to launch the SMT mounted chip on board radio transceiver that supports both DMX and RDM in a QFN48 package. The W-DMX COB is a low energy solution with only 40mA current consumption that facilitates distances up to 200m (650') with a standard antenna together with a BlackBox F-1MK2. W-DMX COB is a low cost solution, making it possible for every manufacturer to implement wireless DMX with support of RDM. The W-DMX Solution is fully updateable to W-DMX Generation 5, with unique adaptive frequency hopping to automatically avoid interference from other wireless networks, and a data-safe function with 128-bit encryption to avoid un-licensed use of W-DMX protocols. With Invisi-Wire, error correction and up four times wireless redundancy that re-sends the wireless data four times faster over the air compared to DMX protocols on different radio frequencies, it ensures the most stable wireless DMX/RDM solution on the market.

Finally, the company will show the new NANO RDM RX, the next phase of Wireless RDM Receivers. As RDM functionality continues to increase in demand, the company says Wireless Solution is proud to offer this new solution. The NANO RDM RX is a DMX/RDM Receiver with full implementation of the RDM protocol and support of the latest G4S software with updated 128-bit encryption and much improved adaptive frequency hopping algorithm that is improved by 200% more accurate reading of the interference noise level. Based on the same technology as the W-DMX COB solution with high power PA as well a LNA with superior sensitivity for long distance control. The NANO RDM RX supports the latest standard of ETSI EN300 328 with the 2015 revision. For easy implementation, it uses the same form factor as the existing NANO Range as well as the same connector in all other W-DMX products. The company says the advantage with this is that it fits both high volume as well as project driven installations with a low cost that was not previously possible.

Finally, the company will show the BlueBox MK2, the latest update from Wireless Solution Sweden AB. The latest generation is not only a complete RDM controller but it is also a complete Ethernet Converter between DMX to Art-Net and S/ACN (and vice versa). On top of this the PC software for the BlueBox MK2 have been upgraded to include several updates including:

* DMX/RDM over Ethernet
* RDM speedup, an increased speed of RDM discovery by 200%
* Adaptive frequency hopping spectrum view
* Support of 2 DMX universes

Wireless Solution will be hosting the infamous Swedish meatball and vodka party on Thursday, April 16 starting at 4pm, an event not to be missed! Also, learn about new OEM partners including Swisson, CLF, Antari, and others.
