Mountain Productions Holds 28th Annual CM Hoist School

Mountain Productions' 28th annual CM Hoist School

Last month, Mountain Productions held its 28th annual CM Hoist School, an intensive hoist and rigging seminar taught by leading industry professionals. The school has become a tradition of education, and attendees gain a wealth of rigging knowledge and the opportunity to network with colleagues.

This year, Mountain was excited to welcome the largest group of students to attend in the school's history. The seminars were taught by familiar faces, including Dave Carmack (CM), Eric Rouse (ETCP Certified Rigger), Trey Allen (James Thomas Engineering), Mike Webb (Motion Laboratories), and Mark O'Brien (Rose Brand). Students received hands-on experience with motor maintenance and in-depth lessons about proper rigging techniques. New to this year's school was Matt Smith from DBI-SALA, who provided an impressive live demo of DBI-SALA's fall protection solutions.

Overall, this year's Hoist School was a great success, and qualifying students were rewarded for their hard work with Level One certification from Columbus McKinnon. Mountain Productions encourages those who are interested in participating in the Hoist School to plan ahead to next year's event, taking place on the week of March 11, 2014. In the meantime, the Online CM Lodestar Maintenance Training offered by Mountain Productions is a course that is accessed at the convenience of home. It is also a beneficial way to prepare for the more in-depth seminars taught at Hoist School.
