PROLIGHTS Launches Muse Fresnel70CT+

PROLIGHTS launches Muse Fresnel70CT+, a moving Fresnel fixture designed to deliver the authentic feel of a traditional Fresnel source in a fully automated format. Developed for theatres, television studios, and film sets, Muse Fresnel70CT+ is said to combine premium light quality, refined beam shaping, and powerful output in a compact and silent fixture built for high-end professional productions.

Muse Fresnel70CT+ features a 200 mm (8") Fresnel lens and a 6-color LED source rated at 1,500W, operated at 1,000W to ensure consistent output over time and boosted colors, with additive color mixing delivering up to 29'000 lumens of output. Rather than simply placing a Fresnel lens in front of a moving profile, PROLIGHTS engineered the fixture around an optical path derived from its static Fresnel range, resulting in a more authentic Fresnel behavior in terms of light distribution, beam aperture and shaping quality. This approach is also said to provide a significant performance advantage, with unprecedented output levels.

Designed as the ideal companion to the Muse Profile70CT+, Muse Fresnel70CT+ offers comparable output in a true Fresnel format, giving lighting designers and specifiers a consistent solution across profile and Fresnel applications. Powered by the full feature set of Spektra OS and built on the experience of the CT+ range, it delivers the familiar visual quality and control of a classic large-format tungsten Fresnel, while extending flexibility through advanced automation.

For beam control, Muse Fresnel70CT+ includes a motorized zoom range from 10 to 60 degrees, an internal framing system with four blades with individual angle adjustment and full module rotation, plus an indexed rotating ovalizer for even more refined shaping. Onboard frost and iris provide additional beam control, while an additional color wheel extends the color palette beyond the native gamut of the LED source.

Light quality is equally impressive, the company says, with CRI up to 99, R9 up to 97, TLCI up to 97, and color rendering for accurate skin tones, key lighting and broadcast consistency. "Combined with silent operation, smooth flicker-free dimming, absolute pan and tilt positioning, and a compact form factor of just 29kg, Muse Fresnel70CT+ is engineered to meet the demands of modern production environments where precision, speed, and refinement are essential," the company says.
