ADJ Launch "Take Control" Lighting Controller Product Showcase

The ADJ team is preparing to hit the road this fall for a series of Take Control events at pro audio and lighting retail stores across the USA. The one-day educational product showcase events will star the ADJ WMX1 standalone controller alongside the ADJ LINK iPad-based control system and will provide hands on training on how these innovative tools can be used to take creative lighting control to the next level for live event entertainers and stage performers, as well as installations into bars, lounges, churches, and community theatres.

Designed for all entertainment lighting users who want to take their show to the next level, each Take Control event will typically run from 12pm until 6pm and feature a series of educational presentations from a member of the ADJ team, alternating between the WMX1 and LINK. In between the sessions the ADJ representative, as well as the store's staff, will be on hand to answer specific questions and help attendees decide on the right lighting control solution for their particular needs. Controller demo stations connected to moving heads will be set up to help attendees get a hands-on learning experience. These "lunch and learn" sessions will be a great opportunity to help drive consumers into retail locations as food will be served and swag up for grabs.

Powered by WOLFMIX, an innovative new lighting control engine developed in Europe, the ADJ WMX1 offers a distinctive new hands-on interface for creative lighting control, the company says. It is a powerful and compact standalone DMX controller that is designed for creating high-impact lightshows on the fly without a computer. This is achieved through an intuitive workflow, powerful internal FX engine, and tactile controls that make it easy for anyone to take control of a DMX lighting rig comprised of multiple fixture types. This simple, performance-centric method of lighting control is perfect for DJs and performers, including those with limited prior lighting experience. The controller is also ideally suited to running lighting rigs in bars, lounges, and small clubs. The WMX1, powered by Wolfmix, has recently won 2022 product innovation awards from PLASA and Pro Mobile Magazine.

The equally innovative ADJ LINK takes a more traditional approach to lighting control. It is a unique hardware/software system which combines the wireless connectivity, processing power, and multitouch screen of an iPad with lighting-specific tactile controls and a four universe DMX interface to deliver a unique control solution. Powerful and user-friendly, the LINK fills the void between small single universe DMX controllers and large format lighting consoles. It is designed to simplify control for aspiring lighting designers, small production companies, churches, community theatres, and performances spaces, providing a new connection between lights and creativity.

To demonstrate the creative potential of the WMX1 and LINK, each Take Control event will also feature a supporting cast of ADJ's latest lighting fixtures. Designed for temporary outdoor use, the IP65-rated Hydro Spot 2 is an LED-powered moving head spot, while the Hydro Beam X12 is a dedicated beam luminaire which harnesses the power of a 260W Philips Platinum 12R LL MSD discharge lamp. The brand-new Focus Flex L7 will also be showcased, which is an alternate version of the popular Focus Flex LED-powered beam/wash fixture that features lime-infused LEDs for increased CRI and enhanced color mixing potential. A selection of wash fixtures will also be on display, which too feature lime-enhanced LEDs. The Encore LP12IP is a robust IP65-rated LED par, the Encore Z7LP is another par model but with the added versatility of motorized zoom, while the Ultra LB18 is meter-long linear fixture. Another linear fixture on display will be the Jolt Bar FX, which features a central strip of white LEDs surrounded on both sides by RGB color mixing LEDs, allowing it to deliver intense strobe effects as well as eye-catching multi-colored chase effects. Finally, completing the supporting cast of lighting fixtures will be two unit's from ADJ's sister company, Eliminator Lighting, the Stinger Spot 30 LED-powered spot moving head and Frost Bar RGBW, which combines two different LED effects into one linear unit.

"Effective control is what really makes a great light show shine, so myself and the rest of the ADJ team are really excited to support our dealers and meet ADJ end users at the Take Control events through this fall," comments ADJ USA's national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "If you'd like to make the most of your lighting but aren't sure which control solution is right for you, come along to find out what the WMX1 and LINK have to offer and even try them out for yourself at these 'lunch and learn' events. This will be the perfect opportunity to find out what each of these two different control solutions has to offer, compare them, learn how to use them, and ultimately help you decide if one or the other is the right fit for your particular needs. We look forward to welcoming you to your local event and helping you to unlock your lighting potential and discover your inner control freak!"
