New ETC Gear at WFX 2011, Dallas

Attendees at this year's WFX worship-technology trade show will have the opportunity to test out ETC's latest products: the new Source Four Fresnel, Selador Desire D60 LED fixtures, the Gio lighting console, and Mosaic Tessera, among other products.

One of the biggest draws at ETC's booth (#721) in Dallas will be the Source Four Fresnel, fresh off its win of the 2011 PLASA Member's Choice Product Award at the LDI Show. This new fixture offers the classic Fresnel optical system coupled with the HPL lamp technology of ETC's Source Four fixtures. Like all other Source Four fixtures, the Fresnel is energy-saving; the 750W unit produces the same light output as other 1000W Fresnels.

WFX showgoers will also see ETC's latest Selador LED fixtures -- the Desire D60. It is a PAR-shaped round washlight for worship-stage or studio rigs. With the Selador x7 Color System, the D60 blends up to seven LED hues to provide a nearly unlimited number of color mixes, the company says. The D60 also simplifies lighting work with quick setup options on the fixture as well as profile and performance modes customizing the light to every task. The D60 can be controlled from a DMX-enabled controller (like an ETC console) or run via its convenient Stand Alone mode. Like the D40, the D60 comes in four color arrays (the Vivid, Lustr+, Fire, and Ice) and three white-light arrays designed expressly for studio use (Studio HD, Studio Tungsten, and Studio Daylight).

Hands-on demos will also be available of Gio, the newest console in ETC's Eos lighting control line. Gio fills the mid-range position in the family, between the Eos and Ion desks. Gio offers powerful Eos functionality and popular operational syntax, in a compact and portable footprint -- to fit into any worship-production space, the company says.

ETC will also show the new addition to its Unison line of architectural-lighting control: the Mosaic Tessera Panel Controller (MTPC), which combines a 4.3" touch screen with a 512-channel Mosaic controller. Complex lighting shows and lighting devices like LEDs and dimmers can all be controlled by Tessera, which also handles impromptu show control, accessories, and non-lighting effects. Tessera integrates within a larger system while containing all the software and functionality within its compact, economical package to master an entire installation. Used as a wall station, Tessera provides control from any location within a worship facility.
