MEGA-LITE Launches the Total Control D2 MEGA-LITE announces the release of the Total Control D2, made in the USA with imported components. This modern USB-to-DMX interface is designed to offer lighting professionals greater control, flexibility, intelligence, and reliability in various applications, such as touring, houses of worship, and production installations. The D2 provides a streamlined way to manage DMX lighting control with features made for improving workflow. With two assignable DMX universes and dual five-pin outputs, each port can independently output any universe or act as a splitter for universe one. It unlocks 28 universes in MEGA-LITE's Disco, Enlighten, and Lumen8 software platforms, enabling scalable control for both small and complex lighting systems. This unit also integrates a Cuebot Virtual Lighting Operator, which reacts to incoming music energy levels to automatically trigger cue changes, and works seamlessly with the AI Programmer Assistant for generating looks based on stored presets. The Total Control D2 is equipped with built-in RDM support, allowing remote fixture addressing and mode configuration via DMX; a LED feedback system confirms successful RDM communication in real time. Additional diagnostic features include a DMX error detection system that uses LED indicators to notify users of cable shorts, signal corruption, long un-terminated runs, or external interference. Constructed in an extruded aluminum housing, the D2 is built for field use and includes USB-C connectivity for improved compatibility with modern PC's. The Total Control D2 is compatible with Windows 10 and 11 and includes all the necessary accessories, including USB cables, a traveling case, and a USB flash drive with software installer and manuals.
