Doughty's Quick Trigger Clamps Take Center Stage at PLASA Focus: Nashville

Doughty Engineering's Quick Trigger Clamps

Doughty Engineering, a manufacturer of rigging, suspension, and lifting equipment for the theatre, film, and television industry will be showcasing its family of Trigger and Quick Trigger Clamps at this year's PLASA Focus in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitors to booth 313 will be able to see for themselves how the range, which launched in 1998 with the Trigger Clamp and led to the first Quick Trigger Clamp in 2001, has developed. Julian Chiverton, sales director for Doughty, said: "Over the past 13 years Doughty Engineering has expanded the range of Quick Trigger clamps, that first Slimline Quick Trigger leading to the Titan in 2007 and the Baby version in 2012."

The Baby Quick Trigger Clamp is designed specifically for smaller truss sizes, being adjustable to diameters of one to one and one half inches. Easy to use, it saves the user time and money and has a safe working load of 110lb. Chiverton added: "Our entire range of Quick Trigger Clamps shares the same guarantee of providing a high degree of safety by allowing one person to hang heavy fixtures. The spring loaded jaws stay open and automatically close with the weight of the luminaire, leaving both hands free to lift and position the load."

The company says the Trigger family is certainly proving popular in the theatrical, film, and television world. "We have sold well over one million Trigger Clamps to date, proving both design and price point are exactly what the market is looking for," concluded Chiverton.
