Registration Open for Fifth Women in Entertainment Lighting Session at Ayrton

Ayrton will host the fifth Women in Entertainment Lighting Session at its headquarters on Tuesday, November 17.

This full-day event offers inspiration, education, motivation, networking, and personal and professional development. Supported by Ayrton, the event will be hosted by Sharon Stammers and Martin Lupton, of Light Collective, and Linnea Ljungmark, of Topstage Sweden.

The event begins at 11am and ends at 9pm. The deadline for registration is November 4.

This year's edition brings together four speakers in architecture, light art, and stage design who will share their perspectives on lighting design, technology, and career paths in our industry. They include Karen Chan, Lotta Hammarstrand, Lucy Carter (remote), and Mahdis Aliasgari.

The day includes free admission and a complimentary lunch and evening buffet. (Please note that travel and accommodation costs are at the participants' own expense, but Ayrton can recommend several comfortable and convenient hotels nearby).

"As proud sponsors of Women in Entertainment Lighting, we are delighted to host this event, which is open to everyone," says Ayrton's training and design engineer, Briony Berning. "We warmly encourage you to attend, and just as importantly, to bring your clients along; this is a great opportunity for them to meet our speakers, draw inspiration from their journeys, and connect with peers from across the industry."

Many talented students in lighting design and technical fields don't yet have the industry connections or budget to attend events like this one. Ayrton encourages potential sponsors to consider supporting a student's attendance.

"We are in the fifth year of the collaboration between WIL Entertainment and Ayrton and are excited to attend this annual session that gets better year on year," says Sharon Stammers. "A celebration of WIL with talks from all worlds of lighting, networking and an amazing light show; what's stopping you attending?"
