Patrick Markle Joins Auerbach Offices as Chief Administrative Officer

Patrick Markle has been appointed chief administrative officer of Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Performing Arts/Media Facilities Planning and Design, and Auerbach Glasow French, Architectural Lighting Design and Consulting.

Markle will take leadership on all administrative operations for the firm as well as participating in strategic planning, marketing and public relations. Founding principal Len Auerbach says, "We are delighted to welcome Patrick Markle. We have worked with him as both a client and collaborator on a number of projects over the years. He brings decades of experience to the team at Auerbach Pollock Friedlander and Auerbach Glasow French and we look forward to his participation in the firm's continued growth."

A graduate of both the Yale School of Drama and the Ringling Bros and Barnum Bailey Clown College, Markle has led production and technical operations at some of the most renowned opera companies in the world: The Metropolitan Opera, where he supervised the engineering and construction of stage scenery for all new productions; the Santa Fe Opera, where he was the production director and the project manager during construction of their new opera house; and the San Francisco Opera, where he managed all divisions of the production department.

As a businessman, inventor and entrepreneur, Markle co-founded Figaro Systems Inc., the global leader of multi-lingual text captioning displays for the performing arts.

Most recently, Markle served as managing director for Teatro ZinZanni, a unique San Francisco arts institution focused on preserving and presenting the highest quality of European-style circus, theatre and cabaret. As Teatro ZinZanni San Francisco's lead executive, he was responsible for all budget and business management, administrative oversight of sales and marketing, and oversight of external affairs and community relations.
