Harman Professional Names Martin Professional Lighting's Brian Friborg, to Lead US Sales

Brian Friborg, Harman Professional

Capitalizing on the wealth of experience and talent at recently acquired Martin Professional, Harman Professional announces the appointment of Brian Friborg to lead US sales, group-wide as USA vice president of sales, Harman Professional. Friborg, who previously held the position of president, Americas for Martin Professional, immediately assumes responsibility for sales and support of Harman Professional audio and lighting technologies in the United States. He will report directly to Scott Robbins, Harman Professional executive vice president, worldwide sales.

According to Robbins, the appointment of Friborg to lead US sales is coincident with a broad shift within Harman Professional to align sales groups to vertical markets and provide enhanced value -- including comprehensive service and support -- to dealers in those markets. "Empowering dealers with not simply the best technologies and systems but also the best programs and people is central to our approach here at Harman Professional," Robbins said. "This commitment requires us to evolve and, just as we have added the Martin Lighting brand to our portfolio, add quality and value wherever possible. With deep market experience, and proven leadership skills, Brian Friborg is optimally equipped to serve HARMAN Professional's US customers and lead our new vertical market initiative."

Friborg joined Martin Professional in 1999 and has since held international and domestic leadership roles of increasing seniority. He has a proven capacity to grow strong businesses in the Americas and is recognized in the entertainment and production community as among the most dynamic and effective client-service executives. Friborg was educated at Wharton School of Business, Henley University and the Danish Export Institute.

Commenting on his appointment, Friborg noted, "I am very pleased to lead this new sales organization as I am confident that it will result in deeper, stronger ties to our customers; better responsiveness on product, service, and support and ultimately improved performance. I look forward to working with our clients, our rep force, and with Scott Robbins and the entire domestic sales team to make the very most of this compelling opportunity."
