Prism Projection Debuts New LED Lighting Products at PLASA and IBC

Prism RevEAL Studio.3 LED Fresnel

Prism Projection is expanding its RevEAL line of LED products with the debut of three new luminaires -- Profile Jr., Studio.3 Fresnel, and Studio.UV Fresnel. With its largest product launch to date, Prism will be debuting the fixtures in Europe at both the PLASA 2012 show in London as well as at IBC 2012 in Amsterdam. Prism Projection will be in stand 2-P16 in the White Light Zone at PLASA 2012 from September 9-12 at Earls Court in London. For the IBC show, Prism will be in stand 9-C15 in hall 9 along with Mac Tech LED. The IBC exhibition runs September 7-11 at RAI Amsterdam.

Prism Projection, a manufacturer of LED lighting, has won numerous awards over the past few years for its line of products that offer the energy saving and environmental benefits of LED lighting without compromise compared to conventional sources. The new luminaires' patented TrueSource technology unlocks the potential of LED illumination with real-time color calibration overcoming one of the biggest obstacles to true, consistent color from light emitting diodes (LEDs), the company says.

The RevEAL Profile Jr. is a new compact LED profile spot that offers the strengths of Prism's award-winning RevEAL product line, in a new compact design that is compatible with existing industry-standard lens tubes matched with high output performance. The Profile Jr., along with the Profile, are designed for use in many applications including long throws well over 50' like those in front of house lighting positions.

The RevEAL Studio.3 Fresnel is the third member of Prism's Studio LED line, which has already proven popular with television studios and other venues around the world. The Studio.3 Fresnel is designed to behave just like a traditional Fresnel, with a wide variable beam angle (10-90-degrees) and the ability to shape the beam using barndoors. The fixture has a tunable color temperature from 2,700-8,000K and produces 9,700 lumens of light, giving an output comparable to a traditional 2kW tungsten Fresnel while consuming just 200W of power. The Studio.3 joins the range that includes the Studio.1 and Studio.2 color mixing Fresnels.

The new RevEAL Studio.UV Fresnel is ideal for special effects applications with black light paints or where you need an ultraviolet source. It features a high output ultraviolet emission of 12,000mW at 365nm light output along with the same variable beam and precise barn door cuts of the rest of the Studio Fresnel range. The LED-powered Studio.UV Fresnel offers an output comparable to 400W discharge lamps while drawing only 80W of power. It can also be dimmed without requiring mechanical dowsers.

All three new luminaires, along with the rest of the RevEAL product line from Prism Projection, will be on show in stand 2-P16 in the White Light Zone at PLASA 2012. The PLASA exhibition runs September 9-12 at Earls Court in London.

At the IBC show in Amsterdam, Prism will be in stand 9-C15 in hall 9. On display for the broadcast market will be the RevEAL Studio.3 Fresnel and the RevEAL Profile Jr. along with the Prism RevEAL Profile. The IBC exhibition runs September 7-11 at RAI Amsterdam.
