Innovason Unveils New Eclipse GT at ProLight + Sound 2011

Innovason unveiled the latest incarnation of its Eclipse digital mixing console, Eclipse GT,

The look of the Eclipse GT has changed considerably with the integration of a few practical features like a side rail to facilitate moving and carrying, as well as some sophisticated aesthetic touches like the red LEDs in the sidecheeks (which may be switched off if necessary) and the signature Innovason red trackball reflecting the new company image that was first revealed at ProLight + Sound last year. All of the knobs and faders have been especially selected to give the desk a significantly more expensive feel.

In operational terms, Innovason is the world's first console manufacturer to develop a console with the ability to control and memorize all the parameters utilized by the new generation of digital microphones from Neumann/Sennheiser. The completely integrated digital workflow that results from using digital microphones takes the dynamic range and signal fidelity experienced with analog microphones to an exciting new level. A loss- and interference-free signal chain in audio production has finally become a reality.

Naturally, all of the ground-breaking features of the original Eclipse such as the M.A.R.S. on-board multitrack recorder, Virtual Soundcheck and the Broadway function for seamless changeover from a live to a recorded soundtrack are an integral part of the Eclipse GT. In fact, the M.A.R.S. system, in addition to offering recording facilities, also provides unconditional failure safety: the M.A.R.S. computer acts as a redundant control computer and can take over all control and display functions. Eclipse GT also retains Innovason's trademark way of working with the sophisticated SmartFade and Smart-Panel features for maximum flexibility and configurability without having to resort to the use of layers.

According to Innovason sales director, Marcel Babazadeh, the Eclipse GT is the culmination of all of the new ideas and technologies that were debuted with Eclipse. "What we did was to take everything that customers loved about Eclipse -- the new technology, flexibility, audio quality, production reliability and an excellent price/performance ratio -- and then translated that performance profile into real technology.
