PLASA Events at LDI2014

PLASA will host several events on Thursday, November 20, as part of LDI2014, held November 17 - 23, at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Business Education Session, Roundtable Discussion, and Behind the Scenes Happy Hour will be held on Thursday, November 20 at the Westgate Las Vegas (formerly the Las Vegas Hotel).

PLASA's Business Education Session, "Turning Chaos Into Order: Five Approaches to Project Management" will take place from 12:00 - 2:00pm, and will explore how project management fits into attendees' career, development, and management. Moderated by Tom Stimson of Stimson Group, LLC., panelists will include Philip Barrett of Level 2 Design, Mark Fink of Barbizon, Tim Hansen of Oasis Stage Werks, Jules Lauve of Theatre Projects Consultants, and Evan Williams of Riverview Systems. The panelists will discuss the definitions of project management and how each has made a career out of turning chaos into order. Attendees who aspire to follow their path or simply want to elevate their company's approach to this skill set, won't want to miss this session. Registration is $50 for PLASA members, $80 for non-PLASA members. All PLASA members are invited to attend a Roundtable Discussion with PLASA CEO Matthew Griffiths from 2:30 - 4:30pm. The discussion and feedback session will include networking with fellow members, a discussion of the issues facing members' businesses, the opportunity to provide feedback to PLASA CEO Matthew Griffiths about benefits, and conversations about how PLASA can better serve members. Registration is free for members only and available through the member login page online at http://plasa.org and click on Register for Events.

On Thursday evening, from 6:00 - 8:00pm, PLASA will host the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour to benefit the Behind the Scenes charity. In popular tradition, the event will be held the evening before the LDI show. Tickets are $50 per and are available online at http://behindthescenescharity.org/btshh or during LDI registration.
