Elation Professional Hires Industry Veteran Mark Haney To Head Broadcast Video and Lighting Division

With its expanding business into broadcast video and lighting, Elation Professional saw a need for someone to head this growing division of its company. Elation found award-winning industry veteran Mark Haney, whose extensive background will serve him well in the position of senior market manager of broadcast video and lighting. This new position focuses on the overall sales of Elation's LED video product, support, and client relations.

Haney will have direct contact with Elation designers, dealers, and installers, overseeing projects for the company's products in this market. Additionally, he will collect all market feedback for further developing Elation's growing broadcast video and lighting business -- specifically with the company's LED video screens and expanded video and lighting product catalog -- as well as in the live touring and production segment.

Haney brings a varied creative background to his new position. Prior to Elation, Haney was a sales director for Screenworks/NEP, a large video production company headquartered in California. He has served as a stagehand, camera operator, touring video director/producer, and live music director, and worked on over 2,000 live music events over the course of his career. Recently, Haney was presented with two Parnelli Awards for his work on tours for Eric Clapton and Star Wars in Concert, and has toured with a number of well-known artists, including Jason Mraz, Barry Manilow, Kenny Chesney, Luis Miguel and Britney Spears.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mark Haney to the Elation team," said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. "There is currently tremendous potential to make inroads into the broadcast video and touring markets, as we continue to develop more products for this market, such as our EPV LED video panels, our EVC moving head video camera, and our Broadcast Lighting solutions like our Opti TriWhite cool white/warm white/amber LED light and TVL Series. We felt the need to bring someone on board to help service this new and expanding market with real world experience. Mark knows the broadcast and touring markets' requirements and their concerns and needs. His background in all facets of the industry will enable him to provide the superior service for which Elation is known."

"I have built my career on relationships and reliability, and my goal is to use my skills and experience to help develop and grow this new division of Elation Professional," Haney said. "Customer service is paramount, and looking after the customer is what separates great companies from good ones. My short term objective is to keep the customers we have and make them happy; and long term, I want to develop new business, win their confidence, and make them happy, as well."

Elation's current lineup of broadcast-ready lighting options includes the Opti TriWhite, a high-output LED fixture that features cool white, warm white and amber LEDs and the TVL2000, the ultimate broadcast LED light that offers operators total control to adjust from cool white daylight to warm white tungsten. Both fixtures are customizable to work with all ambient conditions and skintones, and provide the flicker-free operation necessary for broadcast operation, the company says. In the area of LED video, Elation has introduced the EPV series of indoor/outdoor LED video panels, which includes such products as the EPV15 Flex, a flexible panel for creating curved video walls, the EPV 762 MH 540° x 260° pan/tilt moving head video panel, and the new EPV10 high-resolution, high-brightness outdoor LED video display panel.
