American Music and Sound Appoints Richard Starr as Marketing Specialist

American Music and Sound, an Exertis | JAM business, continues to expand its marketing team with the addition of Pro Audio division product specialist, Richard Starr.

Starr has been involved in technical support and customer service at AM&S for the last six years, coming to the company with a diverse background ranging from financial accounting to broadcast audio engineering. A graduate of Vanier College (Audio Recording Technology) and Concordia University (Psychology), Starr has also earned numerous professional certifications including Cisco and AMX networking, Audinate Dante Level 3, and Allen & Heath dLive.

"We've seen amazing growth from American Music & Sound across the board in the last few years" says marketing director Jeff Hawley. "The AM&S Pro Audio division, especially Allen & Heath, has clearly reached a point where the team needed to expand with the right folks helping us to achieve the next stage. Richard has the perfect combination of deep technical chops, an engineering and musical performance background, and a firm grasp of the market dynamics. I'm excited to have him join me on the marketing team."

Starr will be involved in growing the presence of AM&S brands in the US, and will assist with producing and expanding the award-winning Allen & Heath Mini Masterclass series and other training initiatives across the AM&S distributed brand roster.

"After working on the front lines with customers for several years, I've learned so much about our products and how they are used," says Starr. "I look forward expanding my role so that I can make more of an impact and help our division grow."
