FOR-A Announces Plans to Showcase at WFX 2012

For-A LTR-100HS video archive recorder

FOR-A Company Limited, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, will showcase key products at this year's Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX) in booth 948. The show focuses on technologies that serve the house of worship (HOW) community and is taking place September 19-21 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

"Participating at WFX is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with current and potential customers in the worship market," explained Pedro Silvestre, sales director for FOR-A Corporation of America. "2012 marks the fifth year that FOR-A has taken part in this expo, and we have continually been pleased with the audience that the show draws. The house of worship community is an important area to FOR-A, and we look forward to showcasing our product line, seeing familiar faces, and meeting new people at WFX."

At the conference, FOR-A will be exhibiting its HVS-390HS video switcher. Introduced earlier this year, the HVS-390HS is the latest in FOR-A's line of compact, easy to use, cost-effective switchers. The switcher is available in 1 M/E and 2 M/E versions, making it an ideal solution for small production facilities. The HVS-390HS comes standard with 16 HD/SD-SDI inputs and eight outputs, with frame synchronizers for all inputs. Built-in resizing engines on four inputs allow HD, SD, and PC sources to be mixed within the same production. The switcher is equipped with an advanced video memory feature, output video recording, and playback functions.

FOR-A will also demo the MV-42HS HD/SD multi viewer, which supports up to four asynchronous or mixed HD-SDI and SD-SDI inputs, including 1080i, 1080p, and 720p sources at a variety of frame rates. The MV-42HS features a simple user interface and half-rack size, and offers a variety of on-screen features for a customized display environment.

Additionally, the LTR-100HS video archive recorder will be on display at the WFX show. The recorder supports LTO-5 technology -- the latest standard in long-term, high-capacity tape storage. The LTR-100HS makes file ingest workflow more efficient and reduces archive space requirements. The unit's half rack design is equipped with a high quality MPEG-2 codec and MXF wrapper/un-wrapper, enabling MXF files recorded to LTO-5 tape to be used directly by many NLE systems.
