Derek Badala, Synthax

Synthax, Inc., the Americas distributor for RME, a manufacturer of high quality digital audio solutions, announces the appointment of Derek Badala to the position of director of sales Americas. In his new capacity, Badala will have responsibility for developing the market presence and independent representative network, as well as assisting in the marketing strategy for both the North and South American markets. His appointment took effect in January. He is based from his home office in Tampa, Florida.

Badala has a wealth of experience that is expected to serve him well in his new position with Synthax. He holds a BM degree in sound recording technology from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, Lowell, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Synthax, Badala served as global director of sales for Armadillo Enterprises of Tampa, Florida, distributor of Dean Guitars, Luna Guitars, and drum percussion products. Prior to this, he held positions with JD Sound, Inc. of Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Fostex America of Norwalk, California. Additionally, he also served as the chief audio engineer for the United States Coast Guard Band of New London, Connecticut.

Reflecting on his new position with Synthax, Badala offered the following comments, "I am very pleased to be joining the Synthax team. As the distributor for RME, Ferrofish, MyMix, and ALVA product groups, Synthax holds an enviable position for its involvement with some of pro audio's most notable product lines. I look forward to working with everyone in the organization as we strive to take Synthax to the next level."

Mathias von Heydekampf, Synthax' managing director, shares Badala's enthusiasm. "With a background encompassing a well-rounded set of industry skills, I believe Derek will be a valuable addition to Synthax," Heydekampf said. "All of us on the Synthax team are delighted to have him joining us. I am confident he will be a valuable addition to our efforts."
