Show Distribution Corporation Acquires Niscon Inc.

Joe Jeremy, vice president, Niscon Inc., and Marc Desrochers, president, Show Distribution Corp.

Show Distribution Corporation announces the purchase of all capital stock of Niscon Inc. of Mississauga, Canada, a company specializing in the design, engineering, and implementation of motion control systems. Niscon will continue to operate as an independent company from its current production and administrative head office. Its products will be integrated into Show Distribution's rigging portfolio and will allow the company to offer turnkey solutions to live event professionals and particularly to the touring industry as well as for permanent installations.

"This transaction will enable us to offer our clients total integration of our rigging systems. We have worked with the Raynok software in the past and are convinced it is the best fit for our products" says Marc Desrochers, president of Show Distribution Corp.

Founded in 2001 by Joseph Jeremy and Peter Sinkner, Niscon developed the acclaimed Raynok software to make complex movements simple to execute. Niscon clients span the globe from Caesars Palace Colosseum Theatre in Las Vegas, to mega night clubs in Ukraine, as well as the range of theatre production venues and shows from houses of worship to major theme parks.

Jeremy, who remains VP of the Niscon division, brings his formal training and 30 years' experience in technical production, construction, and project management in the entertainment industry to Show Distribution Corp. Before launching Niscon Inc., his credits included project management of the automation systems for productions such as The Lion King, The Who's Tommy, Annie, Sunset Boulevard, Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba and many more Broadway productions.

This recent acquisition follows an expansion strategy put forward by Scapin Staging, which, earlier this year, had announced the acquisition of Show Distribution. In a move to restructure, better integrate its resources, and showcase its products, a new entity was created in May 2014, Show Distribution Corp. Show Distribution is now operating under this new entity, along with Scapin Staging and now Niscon. With the expertise of all its subsidiaries, Show Distribution Corp. is now truly a one stop shop for live event professionals across North America and beyond.
