Luminex Network Intelligence to present their latest development at PLASA Focus: Nashville 2014

Luminex Network Intelligence, a Belgium-based developer of lighting control, pro audio and video data distribution equipment for the entertainment industry, will demo their latest developments on booth 309 at PLASA Focus: Nashville 2014 February 18 - 19 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

This year, Luminex will demonstrate the 4.1.6 firmware for its range of Ethernet-DMX converter. This firmware brings enhancement on RDM traffic management. Users can now stream both DMX and RDM datas continuously, thanks to the brand new interweaving functionality. Coupled with the latest LumiNet Monitor, the very own Luminex monitoring tool, the company says this enhancement offers one of the most versatile RDM monitoring solution actually available on the market.

The Luminex GigaCore range of Ethernet switches will also be on demo at PLASA Focus. The GigaCore line is designed to cope with the most demanding lighting, pro audio, and video installations. The three models -- GigaCore 12, GigaCore 14R, and GigaCore 16Xt -- are managed through a web interface. They meet and support all industry protocols and offer a user-friendly experience with an industry-specific outlook and optimized defaults. The products come with a built-in redundancy system providing a reliable and easy-to-set-up backbone for users' networks.

"We're delighted to attend our first PLASA Focus show in North America. This regional event offers us great opportunity to get direct user feedback from our product range" says Hugo Larin, national sales director for Luminex Network Intelligence in America.

Luminex Network Intelligence was formed by Bart Swinnen and Jan Renckens as a branch of parent company Luminex Lighting Control Equipment nv, which has an extensive technical background in the lighting industry. LUMINEX Network Intelligence launched its successful Ethernet-DMX8 converter in 2004 when it ran 32 DMX lines at the Paralympics in Athens. Their complete DMX and Ethernet solutions range debuted at Siel 2005 in Paris. The GigaCore switch family opened the doors to the digital pro audio and AV markets for the new company and broadened their commitment beyond their traditional customer base.
