Elation Unveils the Rayzor Q7 -- Its Smallest, Fastest Moving Head LED Ever

Elation Professional's Rayzor Q7

The Rayzor Q7 is the smallest and fastest moving head LED wash / beam that Elation Professional has introduced to date. This luminaire will cut through other visual effects in a room with its powerful "Rayzor"-sharp seven-degree-angle beam, speed, quad color LEDs, and mesmerizing zonal effects.

The Rayzor Q7 weighing just 11lbs. (5kg.), it offers brightness for its size (5,442 lux at four meters), harnessing the power of seven by 15W Osram quad-color RGBW LEDs, which also provide the ultimate in smooth, multi-color shadow-free color-blending. The Rayzor Q7 breaks conventional speed barriers too, thanks to its compact size and new high-speed three-phase motor technology, which according to the company make its colorful beams literally fly around the room.

The Rayzor Q7 is a feature-rich wash/beam fixture with zonal chase effects. Its seven LEDs can be controlled and chased in four independent zones, according to the company, allowing the user to create the kind of dynamic visual effects that are becoming increasingly demanded by today's clubs, concert productions, and events and venues of all types.

"Everyone who's seen the Rayzor Q7 has been absolutely amazed at its speed and the brightness it produces for its tiny size," said Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. "This ground-breaking fixture truly ushers in whole new era in LED effects. Its high-output optical technology and 15W Osram Quad LEDs take power and brightness to a new level, while its compactness and light weight make it incredibly easy to handle, install, and transport."

"Plus it's very versatile," added Loader, "because it can also be used as a chase effect to add excitement to your visuals, so it fits right in with the growing 'eye candy' trend while still being able to be used as a light for wash / beam effects." The Rayzor Q7 offers a full complement of other professional features as well, including a variable strobe (1-18 flashes per second), 0-100% dimming, eight built-in macros, and 540-degree/630-degree pan and 265-degree tilt. Its versatility can be further enhanced with optional accessories (sold separately), including a snoot lens cover and diffusion filter holder.

In addition to being easy to handle, the Rayzor Q7 is also nearly maintenance-free, since its long-life LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours. Its LED lamps also offer the benefit of being very energy efficient, consuming a mere 130W at maximum use.

Featuring five-pin DMX as standard, the Rayzor Q7 can be operated in three DMX-channel modes (15-, 17-, and 28-channel) for versatile programming options. A full-color LCD touch menu display and RDMX (remote DMX addressing) make it convenient for users to set up and program the unit. The Rayzor Q7 includes Power-con in/out linking and a multi-voltage power supply (100-240V, 50-60Hz).

Built to the highest quality and safety standards, the Rayzor Q7 is CE approved with cETLus approval pending. Amazingly compact and lightweight, it measures just 9.25" x 5.5" x 12.5"/ 235mm x 140mm x 318mm and weighs 11lbs./ 5kg.
