Cristiano Giavedoni and Amedeo Guizzi, Blumano Ltd.

Blumano Ltd. is an engineering-based company headquartered in the UK and working internationally which has been launched to provide a range of specialist services, expertise, and consultancy which is related to lifting and load-bearing equipment for stages and other areas of entertainment industry production.

The company is headed by two industry professionals -- Cristiano Giavedoni and Amedeo Guizzi. Guizzi is a structural, mechanical, and materials engineer with experience working for high profile live entertainment projects. He has also worked as technical manager for Litec Trusses and Staging Systems Europe. Guizzi's qualifications include being a health and safety coordinator and working at height and he is a member of the Italian Association of Engineers.

Giavedoni has been a senior product and business development manager Litec Trussing & Staging Systems Europe, Columbus McKinnon's entertainment division including chain hoists and lifting equipment, and latterly, business and marketing director for UK automation systems manufacturer, Kinesys.

Services will include system integration of structures and machinery, structural calculations; site installation consultancy and project management; and safety assessments and engineering approvals.

Blumano Ltd. Is a global organization, speaking English, French, and Italian and it is keen to maximize these and other talents worldwide working with manufacturers, rental companies, system integrators, and trade associations.

Giavedoni and Guizzi sit on many national and international standardization committees such as CEN, BSI, and UNI.

The company will fill a frequently perceived gap that exists between elements of structural engineering/stage machinery and production companies/systems integrators, the company says.

Other areas covered by Blumano Ltd. Will include machinery risk assessments, compliance with EU regulations, engineering guidelines, technical drawings, training and conferences, as well as Health & Safety consultancy.
