MEGA-LITE Introduces S-Sphere Moving Head Fixture

The S-Sphere features two unique reflective surfaces that offer designers a wide range of creative possibilities, the company says.

MEGA-LITE introduces the S-Sphere, an advanced moving-head mirror fixture designed to create dynamic, multi-dimensional lighting effects. As the sister fixture to the M-Sphere, the S-Sphere brings a distinctive combination of reflective surfaces, continuous rotation, and a pixel-mappable LED ring to live productions, concerts, and immersive environments.

The S-Sphere features two unique reflective surfaces that offer designers a wide range of creative possibilities. One side houses six pan-controllable polished metal reflectors, allowing for precise beam direction and controlled reflection angles. On the opposite side, a rotating half-mirror sphere covered in 101 large hexagonal mirrors creates a distinctive mirror-ball effect, reflecting beams throughout the space.

Adding another layer of visual impact, the S-Sphere incorporates a pixel-mappable RGB ring that complements its reflective surfaces with dynamic lighting effects. Its continuous pan-and-tilt rotation, along with bidirectional mirror-ball rotation, allows designers to create a variety of movements and visual patterns.

Designed for versatile control, the S-Sphere supports DMX512 and RDM protocols, with 18, 42, and 126 channel modes to accommodate different programming needs. Its combination of reflective elements, rotation capabilities, and integrated LED effects makes it distinctive to lighting designs seeking movement, texture, and visual depth.
