Excellence in Stage Technology at Stage|Set|Scenery in Berlin

At the international trade show and conference Stage|Set|Scenery, which will take place June 20 - 22 in Berlin, the focus will be entirely on stage technology. Under the heading of "Excellence in Stage Technology," a round table featuring lectures and discussion rounds will be held on all three days of the event. Among the speakers will be the architect and moderator of the parallel International Stage Technology Conference Reinhold Daberto of theapro, whose topic will be "Where to hold events during construction and renovation periods?" One possible solution would be temporary theatre venues, a subject that NÜSSLI will address in its lecture. Other speakers, including Frank Köckritz of Komische Oper Berlin and Michael Mayerhofer of Volkstheater Wien, will take part in a discussion round on "Planning, construction, renovation, and operation."

Another key topic at the Excellence in Stage Technology Round Table will be the use of stage technology at multi-purpose venues. Among the lectures will be "Calzedonia Headquarters -- an example of custom stage technology for multi-purpose rooms" by Biobyte; "Successful multi-purpose hall performing art centers" by Gala Systems; and "Multi-purpose entertainment complexes in Russia" by the Moscow Architectural Institute. Other speakers from Russia will include representatives of the Russian Theatre Workshop Association and the Moscow Bolshoi Theatre, who will present the company's 3D hardware/software solution and visualization tool.

Furthermore, a number of leading stage technology and stage equipment companies, including Bosch Rexroth (stage guard and load limiter), SBS Bühnentechnik ("Outstanding stage technology solutions for unusual demands"), and Waagner-Biro Austria Stage Systems ('From planning to commissioning -- A new dimension in stage technology at the State Opera House 'Unter den Linden'") will also be holding lectures.

One day after the show ends a program of excursions will take place for trade visitors, with a focus on stage technology. They include trips to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Kulturpalast in Dresden, and the Barenboim Said Academy in Berlin. Participants can take an exclusive look behind the scenes of technically sophisticated projects in which numerous companies exhibiting at Stage|Set|Scenery are involved.
