Main Light Hires Mike Gaynor to be Operations Manager for Main Light West

Mike Gaynor

Main Light, LLC appoints Mike Gaynor to serve as the operations manager for Main Light West, now open in Las Vegas, NV. Gaynor is overseeing operations at the new facility which brings Main Light's renowned dry hire services to professional production companies on the West Coast. He brings a depth of experience in the industry having worked at 4Wall Entertainment in Logistics and as the assistant operations manager. Prior to working at 4Wall, he was the operations manager at Christie Lites in Las Vegas.

"I am really excited to be part of getting things up and running for Main Light in Las Vegas," Gaynor comments. "I look forward to helping Main Light West grow from the ground up and I appreciate the opportunity to have a leadership role right from the beginning. Working with the great group of people at Main Light, I feel confident that I can lead this shop's success by a few applying a few simple things that I've learned from my mentors over the years-hard work, honesty, and dedication. These are three things that I find everyone at Main Light believes in as well."

Ensuring attention to detail in all preps, along with exceptional customer service, is the trademark of Main Light's renowned reputation, the company says, one that Gaynor is sure build upon. "We want to continue the legacy of what we built on the East Coast in our new Las Vegas operation," states Randy Mullican, general manager of Main Light, LLC. "With that said, we feel that Mike is a great addition to the Main Light team, and we welcome him. He is sure to bring a high level of organization and expert logistical knowledge that our customers have come to expect from Main Light. He also grew up in the business and brings his family's tremendous work ethic to Main Light West."

As noted, working in the industry is a family legacy for Gaynor being the third-generation member in the live entertainment industry. "I have to say I love this industry because I basically grew up in it," explains Gaynor. "It started with my grandfather, Erwin Harris who worked as a local NYC stagehand and then started American Stage Lighting Company. He owned it for over 30 years and as a kid I'd run around the shop, super interested in what everyone was doing. During high school, I went to work with my dad, Bob Gaynor at Bash Theatrical Lighting. That's when I really knew I wanted to do this for a living. So, it all started in my grandfather's little brick lighting warehouse in New Rochelle, NY and now I get to bring that sense of commitment to my work at this big lighting warehouse in Las Vegas, NV."
