Duran Audio AXYS on Broadway's Elf

Duran Audio's AXYS Scope loudspeakers recently made their Broadway debut on Elf the Musical, which played a holiday engagement at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre during the Christmas season.

Peter Hylenski, the production's sound designer, decided to try out the AXYS Scope T2115 G2 loudspeakers on the show after hearing them a few months earlier during a trip to the UK. In total six AXYS Scope T2115 G2 units were used to provide reinforcement for the band and bring Matthew Sklar's score and Doug Besterman's orchestrations to life. "This was my first experience with the Duran loudspeakers in a live situation, and I was very impressed, particularly with the phase coherence and size of the soundstage," commented Hylenski.

Elf ran on a special nine week limited engagement which ended on January 2.
