Larson Electronics' Magnalight Lights Mighty Mac Bridge Blue

Larson Electronics' Magnalight LED LB-24E provides the blue light for Michigan's Mackinac Bridge.

Larson Electronics' Magnalight LEDLB-24E provided the blue light for Michigan's Mackinac Bridge when Nascar driver Keselowski drove his No.2 Miller Lite Ford, "Blue Deuce," across the Michigan landmark.

The Magnalight LEDLB-24E series of high powered LED lights, configured with blue LED packages, provided the blue illumination for the Mackinac Bridge's Light it Blue 2013 campaign on May 29, 2013. The bridge was illuminated blue at night to recognize Pure Michigan's icons, an advertising program to draw visitors to Michigan, a state surrounded by four Great Lakes. Additionally, the bridge was bathed in blue light in honor of Nascar driver and Michigan native, Keselowski and his Blue Deuce race car. Keselowski was the first Nascar driver to drive his car across the suspension bridge that connects the Upper and Lower Peninsula of the Great Lakes State.

"It is pretty cool to see our high power LED color lights used in this application, particularly since we have several Yoopers working here at Larson," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com.

Larson Electronics' Magnalight produces a wide array of high powered LED lights for commercial and industrial applications. Color ranges for these LED lights includes common colors like amber, red, blue, and green, but also specialty wavelengths including UV and infrared.
