TEKVOX Introduces the 1201-MV Presentation Switcher with 4K Compatibility and Many Advanced Features

TEKVOX's 1201-MV Presentation Switcher

The latest in TEKVOX's line of 1201 presentation switchers, the 1201-MV offers even more advanced features to further enhance the company's Drop-In AV systems.

"The new 1201-MV has all the power and sophistication customers have come to expect from a 1201 switcher, plus an array of cutting-edge features designed for easier integration and more versatile, responsive operation," says TEKVOX CEO Jim Reinhart.

As TEKVOX moves to make all of its solutions compatible with 4K, the 1201-MV supports video resolutions up to 4Kx2K@60Hz 4:4:4.

The switcher features five HDMI inputs, as well as one USB-C input with up to 60W of power charging. It offers simultaneous HDMI and HDBase-T video outputs, with the HDMI output capable of acting as either a system confidence monitor or a PC monitor, depending on the application. These capabilities make the switcher more versatile, and reduce the amount of equipment and cabling required for a complete system, the company says.

For maximum convenience, the 1201-MV provides both USB and network pass-through ports to the far-end HDBaseT receiver for a PC and peripheral devices. This allows a single mouse and keyboard to control both the PC and a connected USB-C source, depending on which is selected. The Network pass-through makes it possible to control devices at both the switcher and receiver.

The new 1201-MV offers robust multiview and features 12 flexible configurations, allowing users to view up to four sources at once without additional hardware. "This was not possible with our previous 1201 switchers, and allows our clients to use their systems exactly as they want," says Reinhart.

The switcher also supports automatic source detection & switching, an in-demand function especially useful for collaboration and conferencing solutions.

The 1201-MV's HDBase-T output can travel up to 330' (100m) without any additional amplification, and supports PoH for remotely powering the receiver, resulting in convenient, single-cable installation. The 1201-MV also features sophisticated audio embedding & de-embedding, ensuring clear, reliable sound regardless of how it's used, the company says. Finally, the switcher can be controlled via IR remote, RS-232, or TCP/IP commands for versatile, responsive operation and easy integration into any system.
