Adamson Names MediaToolbox GmbH Distributor in Switzerland

Adamson's Jochen Sommers with Sven Gerber, managing director of MediaToolbox.

Adamson Systems Engineering has announced the appointment of MediaToolbox GmbH as distributor for Adamson products in Switzerland and the Principality of Lichtenstein. The announcement was made by Jochen Sommer, director of European operations for Adamson.

Located in Schuepfen, Switzerland, MediaToolbox opened its doors in 2014. They currently distribute products for Adamson and Lab.gruppen. Prior to starting MediaToolbox, managing director Sven Gerber worked for more than 10 years with Adamson products as a systems engineer.

"I am extremely pleased to represent Adamson and Lab.gruppen products in this region," says Gerber. "Adamson is very well respected and has a terrific reputation. The new S-Series -- which we used recently at the Zermatt Unplugged festival -- has proven to be another solid addition to their already notable product line."

Zermatt Unplugged is held in Zermatt, Switzerland, at the foot of the world famous Matterhorn. The festival hosts the highest altitude concert stage in Europe (3,030m above sea level) during the event. Gerber assisted in the use of two Adamson PAs during the festival.

Livesound B AG deployed two S10 line arrays at the smaller stage at the festival. Left-right hangs of eight S10 enclosures with two E219 subwoofers, ground stacked under the arrays, blanketed the audience area.

"Everyone at the event was incredibly pleased with the performance of the S-Series," adds Gerber. "The system sounds really great -- we already have plans to use them at a number of upcoming festivals this summer."

Livesound B AG also provided an Adamson system for the main stage. Left and right arrays made up of eight Y10K and six SpekTrix Subs. Another six SpekTrix were flown as sidehangs. Four M15 and four CB1 where used as fills to complete the coverage.

"MediaToolbox is doing a wonderful job for us in that region," adds Sommer. "Sven really understands the market and has the hands on experience that is very helpful. I anticipate him continuing to thrive in the area."
