Listen Technologies Offers Training on Understanding Assistive Listening and Mandatory Compliance at InfoComm

Listen Technologies (booth C10519), a provider of assistive listening products for more than 17 years, is offering a training session at InfoComm 2016 titled "Understanding Assistive Listening and Mandatory Compliance" on Thursday, June 9, at 8:30 to 10:00am. The session is free to InfoComm attendees and each will receive a $35 voucher for the InfoComm show store. Attendees will also gain Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) renewal credits to apply toward continuing education.

Assistive listening systems help people with hearing loss to listen clearly in difficult environments. These systems are mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This session will help businesses and venues determine which assistive listening technology is the best choice for their situation.

Andrew Glasmacher, product training manager of Listen Technologies, will break down the three assistive listening technologies, their applications, and how each solution meets the specific needs of a particular venue or facility. During the session, participants will have the opportunity to use the iDSP receivers by Listen Technologies. In addition, attendees will participate in an audio simulation designed to replicate the challenges of a difficult environment or hearing loss to allow attendees to experience how assistive listening products can be used to improve the sound quality in different situations.

Listen Technologies is also sponsoring the AV Tech Tours during InfoComm. Two group tours of the University of Las Vegas are offered and include a behind the scenes look at state-of-the-art technology and connected classrooms where attendees can explore newly renovated classrooms, conference rooms, and collaboration stations, as well as a digital signage network that keeps the whole student body in the know. Listen Technologies is donating the use of its tour equipment to both tours to ensure that participants do not miss a single sound. The tour guide will wear a small, portable transmitter with a microphone, while attendees will be equipped with a ListenRF iDSP receiver with neckloop and ear speaker.

InfoComm runs June 8 - 10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
