Event Safety Alliance Announces New Leadership Team

Tami Richter

The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) announces its new leadership team for the upcoming term. Tami Richter has assumed the role of president, with Jahn "Boxer" Hardison as president-elect, Danielle Hernandez as vice president, Kevin Collinsworth as secretary, and Kim Scott as treasurer.

In a statement, the association says, "As the live events industry evolves, the Event Safety Alliance's new leadership is focused on ensuring the organization remains relevant, responsive, and resilient in changing times. Looking ahead, the board is committed to strengthening the ESA's foundation and preparing for sustainable growth.

"Central to this vision is a renewed commitment to being membership-driven and membership-informed. ESA will introduce structured mechanisms that allow members to provide continuous feedback and maintain a clear, ongoing voice in the organization's direction and priorities. ESA is prioritizing targeted fundraising initiatives to support specific event safety projects while maintaining strong fiscal responsibility.

"Education is a cornerstone of ESA's mission. Over the coming year, we will launch a cohesive, year-long educational initiative giving members visibility into upcoming topics. This structure will be informed by revisions to The Event Safety Guide chapters and will include a coordinated webinar series with chapter overviews, live engagement with subject matter experts, and real-world case studies. The organization is looking to reimagine a central, in-person annual industry safety summit to meet today's needs while fostering collaboration, shared learning, and connections."

"The work ahead is both exciting and necessary," says Richter. "By listening to our members, investing thoughtfully in education and safety initiatives, and planning responsibly for the future, we can continue to move life safety to the cultural heart of our industry."
