Harman's Martin Appoints David Ravnkilde to Director of Marketing

David Ravnkilde

Harman Professional announces that company veteran, David Ravnkilde, has been promoted to director of marketing of its lighting strategic business unit (SBU), Martin Professional. Effective immediately, Ravnkilde will assume responsibility for all product marketing and marketing communications and will report directly to Lars Dige Knudsen, vice president and general manager of Martin Professional, who made the announcement. Ravnkilde joined Martin in 2004 and has held successively more senior management positions in product management and marketing.

"David Ravnkilde understands the Martin brand, has strong passion for our mission and has the requisite skillset to communicate with our community of production and entertainment professionals -- listening to their ideas, understanding their businesses, and providing the right ideas at the right time," Lars Dige Knudsen said. "I am pleased to see him lead our marketing programs and I look forward to seeing the product of his work."

Ravnkilde has been with Martin for more than a decade, beginning as an intern, then project manager; promoted to management assistant and his previous title, head of product management.

"Martin Professional has a phenomenal opportunity to provide our professional communities with greater innovation and value than ever before in our history," stated Ravnkilde. "Having worked closely with the company and with our customers for several years, I recognize how we are now uniquely positioned at the confluence of customer needs and ambitions and our capabilities and vision! It should be a very exciting time ahead and I am most pleased to lead marketing at this point in Martin's development."
