SGR Media Welcomes John Steineke as Director of Engineering

John Steineke, SGR Media

Audio, video, and lighting integrator SGR Media, Inc. announced the hiring of John Steineke as the new director of engineering. Steineke has worked in the audio visual industry for over 20 years working with a long client list that includes Intel, American Express, The Capital Group, Casino Arizona, University of Arizona, ASU, Fort Huachuca, and many others. Steineke while working at a national AV integrator has worked with numerous architects, engineers, contractors, and end-users in multiple projects delivering state of the art audio visual system installations locally and nationally. His many years of design and project management have enabled him to offer unique innovative solutions and cutting edge designs in an ever-changing and demanding technical landscape.

"We are so pleased that John is joining our team," says Daniel Gourley, owner of SGR Media. "He is an amazing engineer and person and I cannot wait to see the wealth of knowledge he will bring to our customer's projects." Clients and friends can contact John at jsteineke@sgrmediainc.com or by phone at 619-900-4910.

SGR Media Inc. was formed in 2012 with over 40 years of experience in media design, integration, and construction of experiences in theaters, concert venues, performing arts centers, houses of worship, as well as hospitality and sporting venues. The company, headquartered in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area, employs a business model that forgoes traditional hierarchical corporate structures and embraces the philosophy of a professional consortium. SGR will partner with new recruits specializing in programming, design engineering, project management, sales, and technical installation.

"Our business model is something that's new to the audio visual industry but in line with what many tech companies are already working with," said Gourley, design principal of SGR Media. "We feel that there is a need, particularly within our industry, for companies that are structured to grow in changing business environments. We also believe that employees thrive when they're empowered with independence, but given logistical support and the opportunity for financial reward." Gourley, who established the company in 2012, said that the company's recent partnerships include new team members in Arizona, Texas, and California.

SGR, which currently has six full-time employees throughout the Southwest, will offer team members logistical support ranging from business cards to project management and engineering, as well as insurance, bonding, and contractor's licenses in his or her home state. Regardless of the whether the employee is an entry-level technician or an experienced engineer, all team members will share in the net profits of projects in which they are involved. Categories for typical projects include sales, projecting engineering, management, procurement, and installation.

SGR, which specializes in lighting and audiovisual design for churches, theaters, entertainment venues, and corporate spaces, has built a portfolio of projects that range from Chicago's Fulton Market Gateway to houses of worship like Pure Heart Church, Phoenix's First United Methodist Church, Catalyst Church, Grace Community Church and Chicago First Church of the Nazarene. SGR is currently beginning the design of Southern Hills Community Church's CityStation project, an $8M community center and sanctuary in Carrolton, Georgia completing construction this fall of 2017.
