Artistic Licence to Exhibit at PLASA London

Artistic Licence announces the launch of daliGate quad, a product that seamlessly integrates DALI with Art-Net and DMX/RDM. New also is Rail-Split RJ45, a premium DIN rail splitter developed in response to high customer demand. And for powerful yet economical DMX control, the company will also be showing the matisse range.

Artistic Licence CEO and product designer, Wayne Howell, will be present throughout the show to answer questions. Visitors can also check out Howell's seminar at 1:30pm on Sunday September 16 for the latest news and views on industry control protocols.

daliGate quad is an ethernet-to-DALI interface providing four DALI circuits. It is compatible with Art-Net or sACN and can convert between DMX, RDM, and DALI. This means that an Art-Net capable lighting desk can now directly control DALI gear in just the same way as DMX, the company says.

Additional features include:

• DALI routing by ethernet (Art-Net or sACN)
• 4 optically isolated DALI ports
• 10/100BaseT RJ45 port with auto-negotiation
• DHCP or static IP or LLRP configuration
• Factory reset and Squawk button
• Power, network & data activity indicators
• 9-48 VDC or PoE (IEEE 802.3af - 2003)
• Configure with internal web-browser or DMX-Workshop
• daliScene app enables remote control of scenes
• Data capture for test/analysis (when used with DMX-Workshop)
• Advanced diagnostics and packet sniffers for remote debugging of installations

Nominated for the Awards for Innovation, matisse f6 dmx and matisse d4 dmx are programmable, multi-function DMX controllers presented in a wall-mount format. All the electronics are mounted on the rear of the panel, so there is no need for external control boxes.

Additional features include:

• Wall mount DMX controller
• DMX512 output
• 6 illuminated faders or 4 rotary dials
• 512 channel output
• Grand master control
• Multiple functions including preset, scene mixer, hue fader and merge mode
• Supports data merging (LTP/HTP per channel) and data fixing
• Simple DIP switch configuration
• Easy push-button programming - no external software required
• Link multiple panels to one DMX cable
• Custom panel finish and silk screen available on special order for the f6
• Various stock material finishes, including chrome and brushed steel, for the d4
• External 9-24 VDC PSU required

Developed in response to customer demand, Rail-Split RJ45, a 4-way DMX512 splitter, features RJ45 connectors on the input and all outputs, making it easy to install using Cat5 patch cables. The product also eliminates the need for separate DC power supplies, as it is mains powered and supports any international voltage.

Additional features include:

• Optically isolated DMX512 input
• RJ45 input connector
• 4 buffered outputs, all with RJ45 connectors
• Mains electrocution protection on the outputs
• Bidirectional data ports
• Jabber Detection
• Fix Mode
• Front panel power and data indication
• Compatible with DMX512, DMX512 (1990), DMX512-A
• Protocols: RDM Standard V1.0 (E1.20 - 2010 ESTA Standard)
• Mains powered (international)
• Surface mount or DIN rail mounted

The next generation of Artistic Licence ethernet-to-DMX gateways has arrived and will feature on their stand. Based on a more powerful chip technology, the range provides full support for the award-winning Art-Net 4 protocol, giving access to impressive new functionality not offered in earlier releases, the company says.
