Chauvet Professional Launches New Products at PLASA 2012

Chauvet, a manufacturer of professional lighting, launches new moving heads -- Chauvet Professional Q-Spot 460-LED and Q-Spot 360-LED -- and video panels -- CHAUVETĀ® Professional PVP S5 and PVP S7 -- to the European market at this year's PLASA show, September 9-12, in stand I-F53 at Earl's Court in London. Additionally, Chauvet Professional will highlight its new Ovation line of the theatrical fixtures, as well as introduce the Iluminarc line of architainment interior and exterior lighting solutions.

Two new compact moving spots, Chauvet Professional Q-Spot 460-LED and Chauvet Professional Q-Spot 360-LED, are eco-friendly, cost-effective fixtures for smaller entertainment and hospitality venues or any space that demands a steadfast, stress-free performance.

Both fixtures include a patented optical system, a 16-degree beam angle, an easy-access gobo door, and shutter and strobe functions. Lightweight and easy-to-hang, the fixtures operate quietly, have a fast, precise pan and tilt movement, complemented by a three-facet rotating prism and a motorized focus. The luminaires differ in their LED sources and gobo selection: Q-Spot 460-LED has seven 10W white LEDs, six rotating gobos, seven static gobos, and seven colors plus white. Q-Spot 360-LED has three 10W white LEDs, seven rotating gobos, eight static gobos, and seven colors plus white.

Two new high-resolution video panels join the VIP series: Chauvet Professional PVP S5 and Chauvet Professional PVP S7. These lightweight additions to the video panel line work together interchangeably, as well as operate seamlessly with the media systems, drivers, signal distributors, and signal processors found in the VIP series.

Built for indoor use and clarity of output, each high-resolution panel uses black face, tri-colored SMD LEDs. This type of LED increases contrast while the tight pixel pitch (PVP S5 at 5.2mm and PVP S7 at 7.8mm) decreases the viewing distance. Replete with an integrated auto-aligning housing and four additional M10 mounting points, each panel's modular nature prove invaluable for touring and long-term installations. An optional PVP rigging kit is also available.
