M&W Pro Audio Releases Quick Look VideoM&W Pro Audio, the new professional audio company founded by Greg Mackie and Peter Watts, has released a Quick Look Video introducing its forthcoming D24 and D32 digital mixers. In the video, M&W chief revenue officer Jay Schlabs guides viewers through the lineup's defining features, workflow, and benefits. The presentation follows strong interest from prospective customers who saw the mixers at two trade shows earlier this year and offers a closer look ahead of their planned availability in early 2027. Both mixers combine a capacitive touchscreen with dedicated hardware controls and include their full complement of inputs and outputs on board: 24 XLR inputs and 8 XLR AUX sends on the D24, and 32 XLR inputs and 12 XLR AUX sends on the D32. The AUX sends support stage monitors or combinations of mono and stereo in-ear monitor mixes. Every XLR microphone input features Peter Watts' Lyric preamplifier, a Class A, high-headroom, low-noise design developed through years of research and development. The D32 adds a fully removable and relocatable I/O box that can serve as a stage box at distances of up to 100m (328'). This capability is included as part of the mixer rather than requiring the purchase of a separate stage box that can add hundreds or even thousands of dollars to a competing system. Within the capacitive touchscreen interface, operators work with 70mm onscreen faders on the D24 and 100mm onscreen faders on the D32. The home screen places essential information and controls within immediate reach, including input sensitivity, equalization thumbnails, input and dynamics metering, routing assignments, and cue functions. More than 100 user screens are accessible from the home screen, while the main left/right fader remains continuously available. Dedicated paths provide fast access to AUX inputs, effects, and the Home view. Selecting an equalization thumbnail opens the "Big Channel," where users can manage dynamics, compression and gating, fully parametric equalization, and effects buses for reverbs and delays. Functions can be controlled directly on the touchscreen or with the detented rotary encoder positioned at the lower right of the display. Easy Mixer Mode provides a simplified operating environment for less experienced users without compromising the platform's broader capabilities. Additional features include four Subgroups, four Mute Groups, and eight Digitally Controlled Amplifiers (DCAs), together with dedicated hardware buttons for Home, Overview, Mute Groups, and AUX functions. Both mixers support two-track recording and multitrack recording to a solid-state drive (SSD) or digital audio workstation (DAW) via USB-C.
