Olivier Award Winners Announced

Broadway musicals dominated the design categories at this year's Olivier Awards. The awards, which honor achievement in London's West End, were given out last night.

Three of the four the design awards went to Broadway shows that have transferred to London. Bob Crowley took the set design award for An American in Paris. The awards for lighting and sound design, went to Howell Binkley and Nevin Steinberg, respectively, for Hamilton. (Among other categories, Hamilton as also named best new musical.) Vicki Mortimer took the costume design award for the National Theatre revival of the musical Follies.

Another big winner, the National's revival of Angels in America is now playing on Broadway.
