Rosco Launches RoscoLED Tape -- Vibrant, Versatile Lighting Solutions

RoscoLED Tape

Rosco Laboratories, a lighting and color technologies company for the film, television, entertainment and architecture industries, announces the launch of RoscoLED Tape. Developed specifically for set designers and filmmakers, RoscoLED Tape offers a multitude of solutions for adding attractive accent lighting into set pieces for broadcast studios, television, and feature films.

RoscoLED Tape comes in easy-to-use kits, which include multiple reels of RoscoLED Tape featuring pre-configured plug-and-play connectors for easy installations. Each kit includes a control box with quick connection ports for power, DMX control, and LED Tape outputs. There are three versions of the RoscoLED Tape kits:

• Static white RoscoLED Tape kit which is available in Tungsten (3,000K) or daylight (5,600K)
• VariWhite RoscoLED Tape kit, which offers dual-chip, high CRI LEDs that are tunable from 3,000K - 5,600K
• VariColor RoscoLED Tape kit, offering an array of vibrant hues using a blend of color-mixing RGB+W LEDs

Each kit component is also available to purchase individually.

Also available is the RoscoLED Tape Pro Gaffers kit. Suitable for filmmakers with the challenge of illuminating confined spaces on set, the Pro Gaffers Kit offers a selection of easy-to-use strips of RoscoLED Tape along with power and control accessories including a car adaptor, AA battery holder, and single-fade dimmer.

"RoscoLED Tape was developed in an effort to meet the demands of set lighting professionals who require high color quality and strong output, particularly on camera," said Jack Burwick, product development manager for LED systems at Rosco. "When RoscoLED Tape was in previews, it illuminated a number of sets beautifully, including sets designed by Adrian Goldberg, senior lighting designer of TAD Lighting Services, Ltd."

Goldberg used RoscoLED Tape in installations including CBS Studios, the London 2012 Olympics, Rogers NHL Studio, and the Toronto Pan Am Games. "We found just about every background and detail for the Rogers NHL Studio was enhanced with variable white or variable color products allowing 360-degree camera positioning in the seven set studio," said Goldberg.

Goldberg continued, "For the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games we used 400m of RoscoLED Tape in a display, enabling us to match the colors of the nightly Panamania Fireworks Spectacular as well as pastel shades of the event logos."

RoscoLED Tape is available now through Rosco's international network of dealers.
