Grupo ROA Adds Robe Fixtures to its Inventory Grupo ROA, an event production supplier and equipment rental company based in Zinacantepec, near Toluca in Mexico State, Mexico, recently took delivery of its first Robe moving lights. Grupo ROA is run by Rodolfo Oropeza, who operates several related companies and businesses located around a 10,000-sq.-m, complex. Recently, the rental arm of ROA added 20 FORTES to its inventory, followed by 48 iPointes. ROA services government, political, and culture-based events in Mexico State. In addition to lighting, it supplies audio, video, LED screens, staging, and rigging, as well as constructing sets and offering complete printing facilities. Three large warehouses sit on the Zinacantepec site, plus numerous workshops, painting and metal fabrication shops, employing around 100 full-time across the various companies, plus regular freelancers as needed. "I needed IP-rated fixtures," notes Oropeza. "We supply and produce so many outdoor shows here, so IP was a must." Another reason for choosing FORTES and iPointes was grounded in current artist rider demands. Oropeza also sought the informed and valuable opinion of ROA's lighting chief, Eduardo Aguilar, who agreed with his observations and recommendations. Recalling his trip to the Robe factory, Oropeza says, "I was super-impressed by the setup, very professional and well organized, and this alone made me realize that Robe would be an excellent choice that offers the best options right now in a highly competitive field, which is good and keeps everyone focused."
