Urgent Action Needed to Support The MUSIC Act

Senate Amendment 2412 by Senator Marsha Blackburn was put forth August 3. It is known as The MUSIC Act (Music Under Severe Income Crisis) This amendment will allow service and support companies as well as showcase performers or pre-packaged productions to potential buyers to participate in SVOG (Shuttered Venues Operator Grant). This amendment will travel with the new infrastructure bill currently before the Senate. Senator Chuck Schumer has indicated there will be a Senate vote tomorrow, Saturday August 7 on the infrastructure bill. Thus, The MUSIC Act will also be considered then.

It is imperative that as many people as possible execute the attached link from our good friends at NAMM. All you will do is provide your name and address and the software will send a letter to your senators, your representative and to Senator Schumer.

As always, our strength is in our numbers. Time is against us as there may very well be a vote Saturday. The more people that our legislators hear from, the better the chances of the amendment passing.

Please share this story with as many people and entities as possible.
